At the risk of sounding like I am from California, these blocks are seriously cute. Totally adorable. Dude. I mean rullly.
I started making these blocks mid-day on Sunday, and am not sure I am able to stop. Forget about dinner, forget about watching tv, or finishing that good book. All I want to do is play with fabric combinations and making variations of basket blocks.
Why is it that whatever quilt I am working on is my all time absolute favorite? Love the one you're with, that's me.
But really. I am in love this time, for real.
Fabric: Simple Abundance by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.
Pattern: MoJo by she of the swelled head who cannot be named.
No, I have to give her credit–MoJo by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.
Sometimes you find the perfect marriage of fabric line and quilt pattern. I have struck Pay Dirt friends.

I just got what I am sure is the last fat quarter pack of Simple Abundance. I love that line but was also late in getting it. Your pattern choice is adorable. I may have to copy you. I made a small table topper previously out of small pieces I had purchased that I also love. It’s just such a warm and homey looking fabric line.
And what is that great background you spoke of – cream with yellow dots? Can you give us details??
I’m so jealous that you think having different fabric combinations is play, it seems like work to me, trying to get the perfect combination!
Your blocks are lovely, I think you did find just the right match!
Best wishes with your “little” procedure tomorrow! I’ll be thinking of you!
Great minds! I used a small yellow pin dot as the background fabric for my Between Friends quilt I made with Simple Abundace. Those baskets are seriously very cute. Have fun.
I agree…ridiculously cute is a very appropriate description! Can’t wait to see more of it!
This pattern looks so similar to Carrie’s Schnibbles Picnic. What size is this quilt?
Like, totally, you know, adorable…..:)
OMG!
I think you’ve just inspired me as to how to use my stack of recent William Morris FQs.
Being a fellow Californian~it is totally cute, to the max! Okay, that was a little ’80’s; but seriously, it’s very nice. What a beautiful project!
I had two charm packs of this line when it first came out and made a quilt that I sent out as a PIF…loved it and never did get more! I’m loving your quilt and will watch it come to life!
Those are adorable. And what’s wrong with loving the one you’re with, assuming we’re not talking people 😉
Ridiculous cute, indeed! Those blocks are amazing, and I don’t even like baskets. Nicely done. Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow – I’ll be thinking of you.
Adorable blocks! 🙂
You’re right. The blocks are the bomb.
There are certain fabric lines that just need to never go away. This one is one of them. It is just gorgeous and when put in creative hands, we get gorgeous quilts. It’s looking great!
You’re right, they’re cool dude.
oh, that is super cute!! Love it!
I totally agree! OUTSTANDING! I love those baskets!
You turn out such beautiful work in such a short amount of time… I would love to be able to watch you work!!
Oh, goodness. Just when I thought I didn’t need any more patterns! It’s going to be beautiful. I just saw a red and beige quilt on another blog and it was made in beiges and reds. Hmmmmmm…….
Seriously awesome. And I love the two variations on the basket. Plus all the possibilities by fabric combos with them.
I agree, those are totally cute. I have the pattern, just need to come up with which fabric to use.
ooooohhhh, pretty pretty!
Ah huh…ridiculously cute!
Love the one you’re with…cracked me up! Stephen Stills.
But, I do so agree with you…each quilt I make is my new fave.
You do lovely work.
I too love those fabrics and have a quilt at the LA as we speak. Your little baskets look so cute and I noticed the blue/brown combo looks slightly different.
Nicole,
You have “the gift” of being able to put fabrics together for a quilt!!!! They look great!!
Would charms work for this pattern?
I get a kick out of your sense of humor–you make me smile.

Hot damn girlfriend!!! You have hit pay dirt and I’m happy and inspired just watching. 🙂
Very nice; perfect use of adorable fabrics!
I love it!!!!
I’m right with you about forgetting about dinner and TV to continue sewing. I wish I could go without sleep too!! lol
By the way. Where are you getting your Miss Rosie patterns and where did you find that great dotted background fabric?
I am not a basket quilt kind of gal, but this block might just change my mind…beautiful! Best of luck with the sinus surgery…wishing you a smooth operation and speedy recovery.
I’m with yo…a marriage made in heaven…I’m mean rullly!

Am I allowed to agree? I think so, because the ridiculously cuteness is certainly coming from Carrie’s large (genius) head. And yours of course!
Dude! those blocks are sooo gnarly. Totally cute
