Not So Very Blended Quilt

Greetings friends.  I am a bit slow getting on with my fresh week it seems.  The weekend went by in a blur, but I did accomplish a couple of things that were high on my priority list.  Numero Uno was getting up to Prairiequeens to pick up four, yes FOUR, finished quilts that had been taking up residence at the shop far too long.  They were gracious as always and didn't give me a guilt trip about my busy schedule and cash flow issues.

Here is my pride and joy, my Not So Very Blended Quilt, that I did as a challenge with Perry, Cindy and Lisa.   I still have the binding to put on and some tie offs to attend to, but I am so thrilled with this quilt.

Debbie did an awesome job with the custom quilting, as you see above.   Here are some close ups of the skill and thoughtfulness she demontrates with her quilting.  Sometimes quilting speaks louder than words, don't you agree?

  1. Oh indeed! Quilting makes the Quilt and this is the Perfect Expression of that. Wow, Nicole. I’m thrilled for you. This is really something. I love how she did the center, too. A lot of quilters wouldn’t do that. Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing.

  2. The quilt is breathtaking – what a wonderful way to use fabrics you don’t want to cut up too much. The machine quilting really enhances your work. SuzK

  3. Nicole, the quilts and the quilting are absolutely wonderful. I just love the quilt in your banner. What’s the pattern name?

  4. Hi Nicole
What a beautiful quilt. Actually all your quilts are lovely. Speaking of quilts are you able to tell me the pattern you used on the layer cake quilt you posted about in August. I would love to make one. Big hugs to Ozzie and Sophie.

  5. Hello Nicole! I have been spending the past half hour reading your lovely blog! So much has been happening in your life, and I’m sorry I haven’t been here to take it step by step with you. I’m glad you are getting used to your work schedule. I think you are accomplishing a great deal while working full-time! Sophie is absolutely adorable, and I’m glad Ozzie has a friend during the day. I do think dogs get very lonely without our company, so it’s good for them to have someone to hang out with.
Your quilts are absolutely gorgeous! I love all the blocks you are working on – as always, your fabric choices are perfection.
Thank you also for all the wonderful recipes, too! I have missed your blog and your insights regarding life and quilting.
    Take care!
